This project was done by Moritz Tontsch and Mirco Böckelmann, supervised by Prof. Nina Juric in corporation with MAKK Museum für Angewandte Kunst Köln.
The "Kölner Design Preis" is a yearly event to award colognes best graduates in design and film studies. The Participating universities are KISD Köln International School of Design, Macromedia Highschool, RFH Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln and ecosign/ Akademie für Gestaltung.
The task was to design several visuals to guide the viewers trough the awards show. The visuals were projected to a wall behind the talkers while the event.
The CI of Kölner Design Preis uses a moiré-pattern ( http://www.koelnerdesignpreis.de/index.html#Home ) as a main element, therefore these patterns were picked up by the design team aswell. To integrate fitting typographie to the moiré-pattern , everything was reduced to a minimum. In practice that means to combine only black and white colors with minimalistic but still playful animations. Clean work instead of overloaded unfinished parts of animation.
The work included two event-teasers for social media, an opening-video and two videos for winner one to three.
